Forum Title: Tree Woes
This is going to sound like a weird question, but has anyone here experienced a customer who refuses to cut down trees near the house even though they are causing direct damage to the roof? We have one of those people right now. We are trying to persuade her into having these 3 trees cut down. They are causing all kinds of issues in and on the roof itself. She needs it to be replace as well.

Most people would be perfectly fine with getting rid of a tree if it meant saving their roof. I have never met anyone like this.I can't imagine dealing with these kinds of stubborn people, sheesh!

I am not sure if you want advice on how to handle these issues but I would use the fear vs money approach. If someone wants to keep a tree where it is knowing it can damage the roof more and cause future damage to the new roof, tell them the money they will lose. Explain how a tree close to the house not only damages the roof but cracks the foundation. They will likely change their minds.

The roots naturally grow towards moisture and will cause foundation issues because they will be drawn to the pluming. They wont just be having roof issues in another 10 years.
